and people do nothing. They stand by thinking it wont happen to us. Someone will save us. They always do, the scientists have a plan. World leaders wont let us die.

The skies darkened, the streets flood with an endless rain. Looking down the street, the cars drive by on their usual journeys, nothing changed in peoples minds. Creatures of habit. The sky was bleached white, punctuated with a deep orange glowing embers, people held their smartphones to the hellish vision and took photos. Tried different filters and shared them on social media.

There were only 7 days until the end of the world and nobody cared.
